My dear, gorgeous, blogging friends,
I need you! We need each other! Beauty is important to all of us right? I mean who doesn't want to look good? How many women do you know out there that can get away with NO makeup? I need your help because one of my favorite makeup lines went out of business! It was Prescriptives! I used their Site Unseen concealer, their Mineral Powder and their foundation!!! I CAN'T live without this stuff! It is my base, my clean canvas! So please share your favorite products and why so I can save some time out there looking, trying and buying the right products for me!
I'll give you mine:
Eyelash curler, every time! Makes my eyelashes look so much longer! (Grocery store)
My lit tweezers (has a little light inside the base) shows me every hair so I can get a clean pluck every time! (It was a gift, so look online?)
And then there is highlighting. I use MAC iridescent face powder or bronzer to highlight the bridge of my nose, and top of my cheek bones. It gives a luster to the skin that makes my skin look healthy and "glowing."
What are your secrets?
Love ya!
Heather

I have never found a foundation and concealer that work for me as good as MAC does. I use their Studio Fix foundation and Studio finish concealer. Any day now my foundation/powder MAC compact should be coming--I've been anxious to try it. CARGO blu_ray high definition pressed powder is so good--leaves a nice smooth finish and it's supposed to be good for how it reflects the light when you're getting your picture taken. I really like it. I also love my MAC mineral bronzer for summer and their glosses. My fav MAC lipstick is called "quiet" I think. Nice and light and neutral. Otherwise, my other make-up is just boring. I've been using Loreal eye shadow because it's cheap and "Stiletto" mascara. I need to start curling my lashes though. My favorite blush from MAC fell and broke so I need to find a new shade for spring/summer. Let me know if you find a good one!
ps-the lipstick is called "quiet please" Ü
That is the worst when you find something you love and they quit making it. Can you load up? Check eBay? Obviously, beauty is not my specialty, but I'll share my favorites. I love Lancome Le Stylo eyeliner. I used to use Lancome's foundation as well and liked it, but I decided to change from liquid to the mineral so I quit using it. I like the Mary Kay mineral foundation with their tinted moisturizer underneath. And I like their lip gloss and lip stick as well. I totally agree with the eyelash curler. That has to be my favorite tool. I had a heated one that broke and I am so sad because I can't find another one like it. My current dilema...eyeshadow. My favorite color was discontinued and I have been struggling ever since. Maybe you should do a make up class for How-To-Tuesday. I forgot you used to do that. I wish you luck finding new favorites.
Pardon my ignorance, but what brand is MAC? Where do you find it? I, too, like Mary Kay stuff. My sis sells it, so I got into it from her. I like their mineral foundation. I don't own any right now, but I tried it and really liked it. I have their shadow, eyebrow pencil, lipstick, gloss, mascara, and blush. I need to try the highlighter thing. I need to look more glowy--more like an angel? My skin is a bit dull as of late. I also really liked MK's microderm stuff,,but it breaks my budget and I just can't justify it. Any body got a good one of that that's cheaper than $65??
Oil of Olay microderm Nikki--Heather was the one who told me about it! I think it's around $20 and it lasts quite a while if you only use it once a week. It's a lot cheaper than MaryKay's $50 or however much that costs.
I used to be a total Mary Kay wearer and really liked their stuff. I used to get compliments on my eyeshadow when I wore Mary Kay, but I don't now, so maybe that's a sign that Mary Kay is better and I should go back on it!
I went on MAC and my "quiet please" is discontinued, but they have so many other good light shades to choose from. Unfortunately, we don't have a MAC anywhere nearby so I have to order online. But one tip for you: If you do order online, ask their beauty consultants a question about color or something, anything, and they'll respond back and with that response comes a free shipping code! Works everytime for me!
