The House Challenge

House#1

House #2

As some of you might know, I have an obsession with home architecture. After helping to design and build our current home, I have a gnawing desire to design another one. Yes, our housing project was a cruel task but the design part was very rewarding and fulfilling to me. So, with our current market, I'd say that builders are hungry and I'm thinking that they will probably need work. So, I am trying to go through the process of eliminating the styles that aren't right for us and trying to decide what is right! So once I have the "perfect" new style ready, I can bring it to our architect and we can start designing! We love our beautiful home but we need to down size a bit and try to be more reasonably situated. So what I ask of you bloggers is to give me your opinion. One house will win but first I need to give you options. Each week I'll post two houses. You vote for the house you like best or think suits us and then I eliminate the loser and give a new house to go with the winner the following week! Now, there are no guarantees that this house will be built due to the economy and the fact that we have to sell our house first and find a good lot! But this is the first step while we're waiting to see what happens! Here are the first two!

#2 all the way! It is you, and so terribly charming! Your furniture is perfect for it. If you could choose anywhere to build, where would it be? When we were in Draper yesterday I thought, it is so pretty up here next to the mountains! So many beautiful homes, but typical, and a little too crowded for my liking. A lot was going for $349,000! Yikes. I wish you luck with selling your house. I don't envy you after what we went through. I love your taste. You can design a house for Ry and I someday when he's making some dough Ü.

#2 seems like a "Passey home." Don't know if I'd personally go with the pale yellow, but the design and the way it terraces down on the lot is incredible. Good luck! (btw, when is your next open house?)

#2 all the way, but only if you find a lot in our ward. If not...I don't like any of them :P Ok, just kidding :) I can't wait to see what your end choice will be. You have great style!

They are both absolutely beautiful.......but I am going to have to vote for house #2. I'm thinking about how great it would be if you guys decided to build closer to us :)

I vote for #2. Not that I have any talent for these things, but I like #2 better.
