A Labor-free Day

Sunday afternoon we journeyed to Bear Lake to stay with Grandma. Shortly after arriving, it started to sprinkle, then rain, then the wind started blowing and before we knew it, we were in the midst of a storm! But no worries. We were cozy in grandma's house with chicken baking and homemade bread rising. It's always nice coming back to Bear Lake where we have spent quite a bit of time this summer, but there is something to be said about the fall weather and the coziness of home. We thought the sun would be shining in the morning but found only more rain to greet the day. We made the best of it by keeping the kids as busy as possible with coloring, reading, and movies. When the rain stopped, Kelly, Myrna and the kids went outside in Myrna's sweatshirts and jackets (because I was expecting sunshine, I packed summer clothing only!) They played all kinds of ball games and had great fun. Then, the sun peaked through the clouds and Sam said, "Let's go to the beach!" So, they all went to the beach and found shells and ran around. So, maybe it wasn't the ideal Bear Lake vacation. We loved being together and we loved being with Grandma Myrna! AND, we didn't work at all.

Bear Lake looks cool when it's cloudy! At first I thought you flew to CA for the weekend-reminded me of the ocean! Good times!

In response to my Halloween post: Kelly should be something Greek, like a Greek god or something in a toga, and you would make a pretty greek chic. I know the toga thing isn't original, but it would suit you guys really well.
